| Through its affiliate companies, GeoQinetiq has been at the forefront of private sector driven
initiatives in the Nigerian power sector. Our participation in one of the first captive IPP G2P projects
in the South-South geopolitical zone is ample testament to this history of solid success in this sector.
GeoQinetiq has championed the Mpape Green Hills initiative to build a wind farm at the Northern
fringes of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, to generate 60MW of electricity on a zerocarbon,
renewable basis. This project has been approved by the Minister of the FCT and is presently
under consideration by the Federal Government of Nigeria with demonstrable support from
European Community Wind Power companies and the NEPAD council.
We are also working on Hydro turbine modernisation and refurbishment as well as engineering
design and EIA assessments for upcoming projects for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
